The Jonas C. Greenfield Prize of $5,000 has been awarded to Noga Ayali-Darshan, Bar-Ilan University.

Graduate students and recent alums: A new initiative to help you cut down on costs associated with the annual meeting has been launched. Visit the AOS grad student website for information and/or email Shana and Sigrid (you must be a registered AOS member) so they can best arrange your travel and rooming needs.

Submissions are invited of articles in any area of Semitic studies published between June 2012 through May 2015, to compete for the Jonas C. Greenfield Prize for Younger Semitists. The final submission date is December 15, 2015. For rules and procedures, visit the webpage.

The American Center of Oriental Research (Amman) announces its fellowships for 2016–2017, with a deadline for all applications of February 1, 2016.
In addition, there are two Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) fellowships available: Multi-Country Research Fellowships (deadline January 31, 2016) and Mediterranean Regional Research Fellowships (deadline January 15, 2016).

The first deadline for 2016–2017 ACLS Fellowships is Wednesday, September 23, two weeks away, including a new fellowship designated specifically for liberal arts college faculty, the Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowship for Recently Tenured Scholars.

Hotel information and the Call for Papers are now available for the 226th AOS Meeting, Friday, March 18–Monday, March 21, 2016, in Boston, MA. Deadline for submission of abstract and attendant forms is October 15, 2015.
